The Thornhill Ministerial Association was formed in 1968 and is comprised of the churches of the Thornhill community – Thornhill Lutheran, Holy Trinity Anglican, St. Luke's Roman Catholic, Thornhill Baptist, Thornhill Presbyterian and Thornhill United.
The clergy and lay ministers of these churches meet on a regular basis to work together and to share resources and information about their events. Each year the churches hold a Lenten Series, which provides an opportunity for the churches to come together for four Sunday afternoons during Lent to worship in an ecumenical manner.
MOSAIC Interfaith
A Gathering of Communities for Interfaith
MOSAIC INTERFAITH was founded in 1980 and is made up of congregations representing Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism.
St. Luke's is an active member of MOSAIC Interfaith. There are a number of events planned each year to facilitate a better knowledge of the various faith traditions. Every October the various faith communities come together for a 'Peace Meal'. This is a wonderful time to get to know one another and to learn more about each other's faith traditions.
For more information on how to become involved, please contact the Parish Office.
