Liturgy of the Word for Children

Children are invited to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word in their own special way at the 10:30 a.m. & 12:15 p.m. Masses every Sunday. This is a relaxed and joy-filled celebration for children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight. We leave the assembly for the Readings, Gospel and Homily and return during the Offertory.

The children participate in listening, reading, singing, drama, discussion and prayer which centres around the Good News. The adult Leaders are volunteers from the parish who follow guidelines prepared by the Toronto Archdiocesan Liturgy Commission and the Catholic Office of Religious Education.

The children are divided into two groups according to school grade levels:
"Little Lights" are those in J.K., S.K., Grade 1 and 2. 
"Big Lights" are those in Grade 3 and up. 
There is no upper age or grade limit. 

Children are welcome to attend as long as they wish.
